Moss Bros, the British clothing retailer, has witnessed its turnover shoot up to £93 million for the year ended January 2022.
Notably, the turnover was £38.6 million a year ago.
What’s noteworthy this year is that Moss Bros attained the impressive numbers despite a fall in the demand for menswear.
The £93 million turnover has helped the clothing retailer’s profit grow from a loss of £11.7 million to a rise of £17 million on an EBITDA basis.
The retailer’s profit before tax too now stands at £12.4 million, compared to a loss of £21.8 million a year earlier.
Besides, the net profit has touched £10.4 million, while a year back the retailer faced a loss of £17.6 million.
Moss Bros has attributed the great numbers to the reopening of its stores in April last year following the pandemic, and its strategy to meet post-pandemic demand.
Moss Bros is one of the UK’s top menswear retailers, which specialises in dress wear for formal occasions. It has more than 150 stores all through the UK.
