
L Brands Inc., which operates 3,045 company-owned specialty stores in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Greater China, and at 700 additional franchised locations worldwide, has reported that its net sales increased by 7 per cent to US $ 1.296 billion for the five-week period ended July 2, 2016, compared to net sales of US $ 1.207 billion for the five-week period July 4, 2015. Also, comparable sales in the reporting period surged 6 per cent.
In the period under consideration, L Brands reported net sales of US $ 4.727 billion for the 22 weeks ended July 2, 2016, marking an increase of 5 per cent compared to net sales of US $ 4.518 billion for the 22 weeks ended July 4, 2015. Additionally, comparable sales for the 22 weeks ended July 2, 2016, increased by 3 per cent.

In the month of May, the retailer posted net sales of around US $ 816.6 million. L Brands’ flagship brands include Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works, PINK, La Senza and Henri Bendel.
