Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC), is promising to limit the price hike in order to boost their sales by hopping on the digital platform. They are further looking to expand their online presence and paying undivided attention to e-commerce.
KVIC has increased its sales by 18 percent amounting to Rs. 7000 crore in the present year as compared to previous sales of Rs 5,943 crore. By limiting the price, they are aiming to increase sales even more.
In the spirit of staying in the cut-throat market, KVIC is not only expanding digitally but they have also tied up with National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), to make a broader presence by reaching the younger minds. The first store is set to open in IIT, Delhi
Moreover, KVIC has also partnered with Arvind Mills to introduce a new product, ‘khadi denim.’ It is also adding new aprons and saris to its product portfolio.
Manoj Kumar, the chairman of KVIC, commented on the prospect of increasing production and splitting the cost but also limiting prices for the consumer. He also said that KVIC is looking to open multiple stores soon.
