
Fashion brand Kiaayo recently introduced its latest Spring/Summer collection, Adira, at the Bombay Times Fashion Week in Mumbai. Adira displays a mix of traditional Indian craftsmanship and modern global designs, consisting of a variety of garments and accessories. Each design in the collection, including coats, coordinated sets, sarees, and resort wear, showcases the artistry of Kutch workers.
Bhavna, the Founder of Kiaayo, shares, “The Adira collection possesses a degree of creativity by taking inspiration from the centuries-old traditions of Kutch.” With a pledge to honour heritage while accepting modernity, Bhavna highlights that Adira caters to today’s spirited and empowered women.
Motivated by Kutch’s prosperous cultural heritage, the collection integrates traditional techniques with novel twists. Bhavna underscores Kiaayo’s commitment to enchanting audiences and maintaining its place in the fashion industry.
Arising from Kutch, Kiaayo pushed by the skills of its artisans, stands up for empowerment; as over 90 per cent of its workforce comprises of women. Kiaayo’s support for local artisans and their craftsmanship reflects Kutch’s rich heritage with around 32 distinct art forms, shining through in every collection.
