A flagship store for the menswear brand Kartik Research has opened in New Delhi. The store, called “Research Research,” is intended to foster community and inquiry while reinforcing the label’s dedication to India and broadening its global reach.
According to Vogue India, the shop specialises in Kartik Research’s house brand, which broadens its selection of jerseys. The 1,400-square-foot store’s interior design, which celebrates New Delhi’s ancient architecture, reflects the brand’s focus on its Gen Z and millennial customers in India through its product choices.
“The store is intentionally not as refined or craft-focused as the main line but serves as a concept laboratory,” said Kartik Research’s founder and designer Kartik Kumra, Vogue India reported. “Having a physical store allows us to define the narrative and create avenues for global expansion.”
The store has a retro feel because to Research Research’s yellow floor and recycled timber. Kumra intends to build on this concept by including a line of vintage apparel that is obtained from Singapore and the United States. Additionally, a multi-brand assortment of emerging labels like Margn and Sage Nation will be sold at the outlet.
Kartik Research is expanding its worldwide distribution in addition to building a store in India. The boutiques in question have declared on their Facebook sites that the label’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection is now available at Stepney Workers Club in the UK, Edifice in Japan, and Tonnes Pittsburgh in the US.
