The outdoor apparel and eco-adventure travel company Craghoppers has expanded into the workwear industry, “responding to the demand for Craghoppers’ quality in the professional clothing market” by creating workwear “designed with mavericks in mind.”
The brand’s “rich industrial history” in Batley, where it was formed in the 1960s, and the local “mavericks, who turned out there every day to passionately work” served as inspiration for the launch. Additionally, throughout the design process, the brand’s long-standing charity partner, Walking With The Wounded, and Yorkshire-based Off Set Workshop were engaged, “each offering detailed feedback… to ensure Craghoppers Workwear is suitable for the job.”
The end product is a 10-piece collection of “durable, sustainably-crafted” items that includes heavyweight fleece, jackets, T-shirts, hoodies, pants and accessories.
According to Craghoppers, the collection has benefited from the company’s “vast experience in creating outdoor and adventure apparel” and is made with “groundbreaking technologies” including ThermoPro and AquaDry “to create a range of workwear fit for any job, in any condition.”
The collection has high-reach panelling on the jackets and hoodies and high back waists on the pants, which ensure that your equipment won’t rise or fall too much when working in difficult-to-reach places, according to Caroline Sheehan, designer for Craghoppers Workwear.
Pit-zips and helmet compatible hoods feature on the jackets “to keep cool and well protected in more demanding working conditions”.
