
Karl Lagerfeld recently announced a collaboration with model-of-the-moment Kaia Gerber for a clothing capsule collection. For the launch of this collection, Karl is now partnering with the Los Angeles e-retailer Revolve.com.
As per their recent statement, the capsule, The Karl Lagerfeld x Kaia, will be available at e-commerce websites, karl.com and Revolve.com. This merchandise will be on the websites from Aug. 30 for two weeks, before they hit the offline network of premium retailers that includes big names like Selfridges, Excelsior, Breuninger and La Rinascente internationally.
To highlight the launch, three events will take place starting from a party at Revolve Social Club, L.A., on August 30, where the famous singer Charlotte Lawrence will perform. The same venue will also be hosting an experiential pop-up shop starting from September 1 that will carry the merchandise from the capsule.
Revolve receives about 70% of its revenues due to the influencers involved with it. This is due to the network of global content creators who are contributing in the success of the company as it is now on its way to surpass $1 billion in sales in 2018.
The third event will be a consumer-oriented affair hosted by Gerber at the Karl Lagerfeld flagship at 420 West Broadway, New York, on September 12. This event will enable the fashion enthusiast customers to have the opportunity to win a meet-and-greet with model Kaia through the social media network of Karl Lagerfeld. It will be concluded with a by-invitation event in Paris on October 2 co-hosted by Karl Lagerfeld and Gerber amidst the Paris Fashion Week.
The collection offers an assortment of ready-to-wear, accessories, footwear, sunglasses and jewelry priced from $35 to $1,405. Highlights of the collection include a Karl Lagerfeld x Kaia logo wetsuit-inspired bodysuit, logo hoodies and jackets a double-breasted tuxedo jacket.
