UK’s premium fashion retailer Jigsaw bid farewell to its Creative Chief Jo Sykes, who has been at its creative helm since June 2019. Sykes will part ways after showcasing her last Spring/Summer’24 collection “as she embarks on new opportunities.”
“On behalf of the board, we would like to thank Jo for the important impact she has had on Jigsaw. Her creative leadership, combined with her determination and drive, has been a significant factor in elevating our brand. She has shown dedication and passion, and she has played a major role in bringing Jigsaw back to being a brand with strong visual handwriting and a product proposition with a distinctive point of view. Jo will be missed, and I want to take this opportunity on behalf of us all to wish her the best for the future”, said Hash Ladha, Jigsaw’s CEO, in a release. Reflecting on her time at Jigsaw, Sykes expressed pride in enhancing creativity, sustainability, and diversity within Jigsaw’s collections.
During Sykes’ four-year tenure, Jigsaw navigated significant challenges, including trying to reverse its declining fortunes, coping with the pandemic’s impact, exiting from the Australian market, closing luxury business The Shop at Bluebird, implementing a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) resulting in store closures, bouncing back post-lockdowns, entering rental and resale, returning to profit, opening new stores, and welcoming a new CEO.
On the other front, Jigsaw witnessed the development of its offer and key collaborations, such as the recent launch of a collaboration with Roksanda last month.
