
OVS, Italy’s largest fashion retailer, is set to make its debut in India with the opening of a flagship store in New Delhi this October, marking a key step in its international expansion strategy.
The 9,000 sq.ft. store will showcase the brand’s full portfolio, spanning everyday essentials to premium collections such as PIOMBO, B.Angel, Les Copains and Utopja. All lines are designed and developed in-house, reflecting OVS’ blend of Italian craftsmanship, contemporary style and affordability.
With more than 2,200 stores worldwide, annual sales of approximately US $ 1.91 billion in 2024, and over six million loyal customers, OVS has consolidated its position as a leading player in global fashion retail. Its expansion into India builds on this international footprint.
Sundeep Chugh, Managing Director of OVS India, said the Indian market represented one of the most dynamic opportunities in global fashion, driven by a young demographic and rising demand for international style. He noted that OVS aimed to introduce “Italian design, quality and affordability” to Indian consumers and expressed confidence that the brand would quickly establish itself as a key fashion destination in the country.
OVS Creative Director Massimo Piombo added that his collections were designed “for everyone”, with the ambition of inspiring customers to embrace imagination and creativity. He highlighted the influence of Italian culture, art and travel on the brand’s designs and said India offered a tremendous opportunity for OVS to engage with a vibrant and style-conscious audience.
The New Delhi store opening marks the beginning of OVS’ entry into the Indian market, with further expansion expected as part of its long-term growth plans.
