Italian outerwear brand Bacon has come up with an exclusive fall collection with luxury department store Saks Fifth Avenue to give a plethora of choices for customers who go for cozy, fashionable puffer jackets for winters.
With Gigi Hadid as one of its most vocal fans, the brand is reaching out to expand its customer base by new and revamped products. It will reinterpret its signature ‘Puffa’ style jackets for women in two colourways- blue and red. Priced at US $ 615, the jacket boasts of cropped silhouette with an exaggerated tie and a collar detail.
They will also launch a capsule in early 2019 featuring more dedicated styles and colourways for the U.S. luxury department store to strengthen the collaboration. Founder and CEO Andrea Pilato Barrara shed light on the initiative by saying that, “We want to shift the customers’ perspective on down jackets and we are really focused on trying to evolve the silhouettes. After a few seasons of oversized shapes, we’re gently shifting toward more refined styles, without giving up our rock soul.”
The brand is known for detailed duvet coats that champion oversized proportions in an array of vivid bright colors. It was established as a sportswear label in 2008 but its first summer collection will debut in 2020. It also unveiled its first ever menswear collection with the addition of two men’s styles this fall season. One of the jackets feature value addition detail of a detachable duvet scarf.
“I think it’s not just about today’s zeitgeist, puffer jackets are here to stay, on and off the runways — as it already happened with denim and leather pieces which have now become wardrobe staples,” added Pilato Barrara.
With merchandise retailed between US $ 510 and US $ 750, Bacon is available via several retailers across the globe, including Isetan in Tokyo, Boon the Shop in South Korea, Tsum in Moscow, as well as Intermix and Nordstrom in the U.S. – along with many luxury multi brand shops in Italy.
