
Indian retail giant, the Future Group, which owns and operates lifestyle stores like Brand Factory, Central, Fashion Big Bazaar, will open 200 more Brand Factory stores in the coming years in the country. Additionally, Future Lifestyle Fashion (FLF) has announced to open stores at airports in Goa, Lucknow, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Chennai and Chandigarh.
While the Goa store will be over 10,000 sq ft, the other stores will be spread in an area of 4000 sq ft.
The fashion retailer has also announced the expansion of its women-centric fast-fashion brand Cover Story. The group is likely to increase its store count to 24 in coming years. A total of 14 stores were opened by Cover Story across Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Surat recently. The brand is also available in various shop-in-shop formats such as Shoppers Stop, Central, Kapsons, Iconic and Sohum.
Cover Story was launched in 2016 to compete with foreign imports such as Zara, owned by Inditex.
The Future Group targets to reach a turnover of Rs 40,000 crore this fiscal year and small-format stores, which have been identified as the growth drivers, are likely to deliver Rs 5,000 crore.
