
Arvind Lifestyle Brands Limited, a subsidiary of Indian textile major Arvind Limited, is planning to operate the kidswear segment as a distinct business division.
It will initially launch kidswear exclusive stores in Bengaluru and Delhi markets. These stores will offer apparel, footwear and accessories for kids.
“Kidswear is one of the emerging segments with a lot of opportunities. We are more focused to create our niche in this segment and thus planning to have a different business vertical,” reportedly said Alok Dubey, CEO, Lifestyle Brands at Arvind Lifestyle Brands Ltd.
Other than featuring Arvind’s in-house labels, the upcoming stores will also house US Polo Association, The Children’s Place and Flying Machine.
Arvind Lifestyle aims to target infants and children (up to 14 years of age) with the new business plan.
The company is expecting to double its sales in the coming five years.
“Arvind’s kids has a turnover of Rs. 200 crores that include alone Rs. 100 crores of US Polo. Now with this new business plan, we expect to double the turnover to Rs. 400-500 crores by the year 2022,” added Alok.
