The fashion retailer will majorly focus on Tier I cities such as Bangalore, New Delhi and Mumbai for retail expansion as it reported a deeper growth in these cities. It is also moving on to take the omni-channel approach to attract consumers by offering enhanced shopping experience.
Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad are among other major cities where the retailer will carry out its expansion plans.
In addition to physical stores, Chumbak also retails its products through its own website chumbak.com.
Shubhra Chadda and Vivek Prabhakar, the wife-husband duo launched the brand in 2010 in Bengaluru. It started its operations by selling small gift items and now it retails products in more than 100 categories.
Initially, kiosks and pop-up stores at airports and theatres were chosen as spots to retail Chumbak’s products before it tapped the exclusive business outlet (EBO) format.
Today, Chumbak is a design-led lifestyle fashion brand for products across apparel, home and accessories.
