Hollister, the brand of the parent company Abercrombie & Fitch Co., has recently collaborated with Sit With Us, the anti-bullying app created by Natalie Hampton. The app was created by Hampton two years ago as she resonated with the idea, having been a victim of bullying herself. It aims at helping students find allies and lunch buddies at school and has about 100,000 users across eight countries.
The collaboration lies in line with Hollister’s 2018 support of National Bullying Prevention Month. This year marks the brand’s sixth anti-bullying campaign. Kristin Scott, Hollister’s Brand President, said, “Sit With Us is the perfect partnership for Hollister, aligning well with Hollister’s brand value of celebrating the freedom to belong.”
The initiative is a way to promote inclusivity and raising awareness about anti-bullying, and Hollister has provided resources for high and middle schools. The teenage brand has raised and donated over US $ 1.7 million since 2013 for the local, national and global organisations, promoting anti-bullying efforts. Multiplatinum record artists Khalid and Noah Cyrus also joined Hollister’s #CarpeNow initiative and they would be a part of the Hollister x Sit With Us campaign.
Sit With Us’ Founder, Natalie Hampton said, “I believe school and especially lunch should be fun for everyone. It has been great to see that the simple tool can be effective and have a positive impact on my peers.”
The collaboration will be highlighted through a collection that will be retailed globally October end onwards and has been designed in collaboration with Hampton. The customers can round up their purchase at the register across all Hollister’s U.S. stores to show their support.
