H&M, the Swedish fashion giant, is in for some trouble!
A former employee at H&M’s World Trade Center location in New York city shared photographs that, reportedly, showed bugs on hoodies placed in hangers.
The woman, who shared the photographs, claimed that a customer had notified her about ‘lice’ on a rack of hoodies; however, the management was neither willing to shut down the store, nor did they inform any of the employees.
She also said that only the section where the bed bugs were found was blocked.
Immediately after the post was shared by the woman on Twitter, there were lot of negative comments against the retailer for its unsanitary conditions as well as for its unwillingness to shut down the store.
Meanwhile, an H&M representative has said that the retailer has taken up the concern seriously and shut down the store to sanitise it.
Founded in 1947, H&M is known for its fast-fashion apparels for men, women, teenagers and children. It generated US $ 24.8 billion in 2019.
