One of the most awaited design and retail brand collaboration of the year, H&M x Moschino, recently released a sneak-peak of its ad campaign, starring supermodel Gigi Hadid.
The collaboration was recently announced at the 11th annual dance party, held at Corona Yacht Club during Coachella festival hosted by Jeremy Scott, the Creative Director of the fashion house Moschino. The collection is all set to launch on Thursday 8th November in select H&M stores and online website.
“I am so excited about Moschino [tv] H&M,” Scott said of the announcement, adding, “My life’s work has been to connect with people through fashion, and with this collaboration, I’ll be able to reach more of my fans than I’ve ever had the ability to do.”
The collaboration revolves around a television theme, when both the parties released a 6-second video of words ‘H&M [TV] Moschino’ splashed across retro-inspired, rainbow-coloured TV sets.
Inspired by a ‘1950 haute couture show’, the campaign was photographed by Steven Meisel. Meisel is a world-renowned fashion photographer who rose to fame after working with US and Italia Vogue.
The campaign features famous models Gigi Hadid, Vittoria Ceretti, Rianne Von Rompaey, Stella Maxwell, Soo Joo Park, Imaan Hammam, Yasmin Wijnaldum, Oumie, Valentina Sampaio, and Leyna Bloom, all styled by Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele.
Several archival pieces from previous collections of Jeremy Scott as well as Franco Moschino, the Founder of the brand, will be revamped for this collaborative collection. Capturing playfulness and humor onto the garments, the collaboration will also encapsulate a full range of accessories.
This is not the first time H&M has collaborated with a high fashion giant as the brand has successfully collaborated with Karl Lagerfeld, Balmain, Marni, Kenzo, Versace, and Erdem previously.
