Hirestreet has stepped into footwear rental for the first time in partnership with retailer Schuh. The rental marketplace claimed to be having a record-breaking summer for occasionwear rentals, with traffic up 300 per cent year over year and 250 requests for shoes to go with the ensembles.
Customers may now hire a complete look, complete with high heels or wedges from Schuh, thanks to a new relationship that officially begins today.
Hirestreet CEO Isabella West said, “At Hirestreet, we are always looking for ways to expand our offering to meet our customers’ needs. As our audience becomes more comfortable with rental, they are looking at how they utilise its power beyond just their dress or core item and create a complete rental look.”
In 2018, West, a pioneer in the UK’s fashion rental industry, founded the Hirestreet company. More than 50 brands, including ASOS, Nobody’s Child, Marks & Spencer, and Oasis, now use it exclusively as a rental partner.
With over 120 stores in the UK, Ireland, and online, Schuh is one of the top sellers of trendy footwear. It carries over 80 brands in addition to its own range of clothing.
