The beleaguered Bangladesh e-commerce entity Evaly is in for another blow after the High Court recently asked the company’s jailed executives Mohammad Rassel, his wife Shamima Nasrin and their close relatives to give explanation why their bank accounts will not be confiscated.
Media reports maintained this adding the court the HC bench of Justice Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarkar passed the order towards confiscating the bank account while hearing an appeal from the new board of e-commerce platform even as the court, reportedly, assigned a Deputy Registrar of the Supreme Court to auction some cars owned by the company on 10 February.
The High Court bench further, reportedly, gave the jailed executives of the company and their close relatives —siblings, parents, parents-in-law and daughter —two weeks to defend themselves.
