Four warehouses of e-commerce platform Evaly, which is mired in controversies, have been sealed off recently.
According to reports, on 8 November, four Savar-based warehouses of Evaly were sealed off by the committee, which was formed earlier by the High Court so as to control, assess and manage the liabilities of the e-commerce entity.
Meanwhile speaking to the media, former Appellate Division judge Justice Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik, who led the five-member committee which, reportedly, visited two warehouses of the e-commerce firm at Baliarpur and another two at Aminbazar, maintained the warehouses were sealed off as the High Court ordered a ban on the sale and transfer of Evaly’s movable and immovable property.
The committee, reportedly, found some television sets and packed electronic products apart from beverages in one of the warehouses, even as it, reportedly, discovered that many valuable products were removed from the warehouses after the arrests of the Evaly CEO and his wife earlier on 16 September.
