Gymshark has named Kim Dolder, formerly its General Manager of North America, as its new Chief Commercial Officer. This appointment is a strategic move to accelerate the sportswear brand’s growth in the US market.
Dolder will report to Gymshark’s founder and CEO, Ben Francis, and will continue to be based in the brand’s New York office. Her primary responsibility will be to develop and implement a unified, omnichannel strategy for Gymshark. This includes driving revenue growth, introducing new products, and scaling new business channels.
This announcement follows several recent leadership additions at Gymshark, including Sian Keane as Chief People Officer (from Farfetch), Carly Natalizia (formerly O’Brien) as Chief Digital Officer (from The Very Group), and Hannah Mercer as General Manager, Wholesale & Retail (from Adidas).
The appointment also coincides with the recent announcement of Gymshark’s first US flagship store, which will be located at 11 Bond Street in New York City. The opening date is yet to be announced.
Ben Francis emphasised the importance of global reach and omnichannel presence for Gymshark’s long-term vision. He stated that the new CCO will be instrumental in creating the blueprint for achieving these goals and expressed confidence in Dolder’s ability to lead this effort. He also noted that Dolder is the company’s first US-based Chief, highlighting the brand’s global ambitions.
Dolder brings extensive experience to the role, having spent four and a half years at Abercrombie & Fitch Co. as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Gilly Hicks. She also held senior roles at Under Armour and Target.
She expressed excitement about contributing to the brand’s evolution, expanding its retail footprint, and developing wholesale and franchise partnerships. She added that her 20 years of experience in the apparel industry have prepared her for this opportunity.
