Gucci has appointed Valérie Leberichel as Senior Vice President of Global Communications. Leberichel, recognised for her extensive experience in luxury brand communications, is one of three senior executives hired to strengthen Gucci’s global presence. Her appointment follows the recent promotion of Stefano Cantino to CEO, as part of the Italian luxury label’s strategic shift.
Leberichel, who worked closely with Cantino at Prada, is set to begin her new role in December. She will also cover responsibilities previously held by Alessio Vanetti, Gucci’s former Executive Vice-President and Brand Director. Leberichel’s career spans several high-profile roles, including global communication positions at Jean-Louis Scherrer, Issey Miyake, Celine, Prada, and most recently, Givenchy, where she served as Vice-President of Global Communication.
Joining Leberichel are Marcello Mastrogiacomo as Vice-President of Digital Marketing and Media, and Daniela Raganato as Head of Global Media. Mastrogiacomo brings experience from roles at L’Oréal, Dior Parfums, and Coty, while Raganato previously held senior media planning and digital marketing roles at Valentino. Together, they aim to strengthen Gucci’s brand identity and enhance its digital presence amid evolving market demands.
This comprehensive team, completed by Davide Buzzoni as Global Communication Director, is tasked with aligning Gucci’s brand strategy with Creative Director Sabato De Sarno’s new vision, focusing on digital innovation and a premium market repositioning.
