In a November turnaround, golf apparel sales increased by +0.6 per cent, breaking the trend of a three-month decline. The entire apparel sector marked a notable +3.3 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2022, reaching an unprecedented high. Notably, the sales have increased by nearly 55 per cent compared to 2019, pre-pandemic levels.
The positive momentum in November was driven by strong performances in specific categories. Men’s Tops took the lead with a +8.6 per cent rise, closely followed by Women’s Tops with an +8.2 per cent rise. However, Men’s Bottoms experienced a downturn, witnessing a -9.6 per cent decrease.
John Krzynowek, co-founder of GDT, stated that ‘’2023 is going to end up with the most Golf Apparel sales in history. The growth has been driven by higher Average Selling Prices combined with slightly lower unit sales in most product categories. And while inventory is heavy in a few areas, overall the business remains healthy and strong.”
