In a significant move, Goat Brand Labs (GBL) has successfully acquired the remaining stake of kidswear brand Frangipani, as outlined in their 2021 agreement, marking the exit of the founders Sunaina Patel and Mansi Kilachand.
Frangipani, headquartered in Mumbai, specialises in children’s nightwear and loungewear, with sales primarily conducted through its website and various e-commerce platforms.
The founders, Sunaina Patel and Mansi Kilachand together, expressed their sentiments on the acquisition, “As founders of this business, which was started as a brand for our own kids and has always been a labor of love for us, we are happy that the partnership with GBL has been successful. We hope that in GBL’s capable hands, the brand will achieve newer heights.”
Rishi Vasudev, CEO and co-founder at Goat Brand Labs, acknowledged the pivotal role played by Sunaina and Mansi in Frangipani’s growth over the past decade.
He remarked, “With GBL taking full control, we will continue using all our D2C platform capabilities to accelerate the brand for the next level of growth. I wish the founders the very best and thank them for all their efforts in bringing the brand to this point.”
