India-based ethnic womenswear apparel brand Ancestry, by Future Style Lab, the design studio of Future Group, has launched its debut store in Mumbai, marking its third opening in the country.
The brand had opened two of its stores in Gurugram (Haryana) and New Delhi sometime back.
Ancestry came into limelight for producing merchandise using natural fabrics, hence providing never-before-seen quality and fashion sensibility. The apparel retailer offers a unique range of dresses, tops and tunics, targeted towards women who appreciate modern design and principles.
The range of apparel that Ancestry offers include a combination of organic, traditional and hand-crafted items. The brand provides Indian lifestyle and apparel products inspired by major international trends. It mixes the Indian culture with craft methods. The contemporary designs of Ancestry have been curated from sustainable cotton.
Notably, Future Style Lab is a design studio and fashion house inaugurated by Future Group two years back. Originated in the fashion-forward London’s neighbourhood, the apparel house already has a widely popular women western wear label Cover Story in its armoury. Ancestry’s parent company plans to set the tone for India’s fashion business by bringing international fashion designs and aesthetics with useful and organised sourcing.
Manjula Tiwari, CEO, Future Style Lab, was quoted as saying at the launch of the event, “We’re truly thrilled with the launch of our first Mumbai store, and would like to thank Palladium Mall for offering us with an impeccable space and opportunity, right in the heart of the city.”
