LVMH, the owner of fashion bigwigs like Dior and Louis Vuitton, has announced that it is planning to enhance its staff numbers in a big way.
The French retail giant has said that it is initiating a major recruitment effort to help expand the number of young employees in its ranks.
And the plan seems to be big! The retailer is all set to hire 25,000 people, below 30 years, across the globe by the end of 2022. Notably, this includes 5,000 internships and 2,500 permanent employment contracts in France.
To make all this work, the French retailer is enhancing its Craft the Future programme that was started for youth coming from different cultures and background.
Following the success of the pilot project, LVMH is opening its educational platform (available at insidelvmh.com) for youngsters across the world to help them learn anything and everything related to the luxury industry.
Notably, the retailer will also offer skill-based training for crafts and sales professions with its Métiers d’Excellence programme.
It will be interesting to see what more the retailer has to offer in the coming months.
LVMH is a French holding multinational retailer known for luxury apparels and goods, with its headquarters in Paris. It generated €53.7 billion in 2019.
