American fashion brand Free People is all geared up to open its first store outside the US in London’s Covent Garden.
The permanent store space will be opening at 28 Floral Street in 2019, the brand revealed recently. The location is a prime spot for the brand as its first international site, owing to Covent Garden’s central location and high footfall.
Apart from this, Free People’s collections are also stocked in select retailers such as Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and House of Fraser. The brand will also join a small pop-up store on London’s King’s Road next to its sister brand Anthropologie.
Founded in Philadelphia in 1984, the American apparel and lifestyle retail company is known for its bohemian clothes and vintage silhouettes. Product categories offered are women’s clothing, accessories, shoes, intimates, swimwear, beauty and wellness- including cosmetics, skin and oral care, crystals, and books.
The lifestyle brand is part of URBN’s portfolio, which also embraces brands such as Urban Outfitters, BHLND, Terrain and restaurant business Vetri Family.
