It’s always heartening to know about store launches and new beginnings especially in these tough times when the retail industry is getting hit by store closures, debts and bankruptcies almost every day.
Frasers Group is set to start a new mega multi-brand concept store at Fosse Park, in Leicester. The store covers a wide area of 90,000 square feet.
Reportedly, while 50,000 square feet area will be dedicated to Flannels, 40,000 square feet will be for Sports Direct.
The retailer has said that the new multi-brand store will feature the best of fashionwear from Flannels and sportswear from Sports Direct, in addition to selling equipment from Evans and Game.
With separate entrances for Flannels and Sports Direct, the store has already become a point of discussion among Frasers Group’s loyalists.
The new store, which is expected to be launched in 2021, will be made at a cost of £15 million – that’s creating employment opportunities for around 200 people.
Expressing happiness over the announcement, Michael Murray, Head of Elevation, Frasers Group, said “I am proud to be in a position to bring positive news in what has been tough 6 months for retail.”
