Flipkart, has introduced EV Assist, a digital marketplace aimed to make electric mobility more practical and accessible for its delivery workforce.
According to the company, the platform is currently available for Flipkart Minutes riders across more than 20 cities and forms part of its broader EV100 initiative to electrify last-mile delivery operations in India.
The platform brings together verified EV fleet operators and rental providers in a single marketplace.
The company stated that its electric vehicle fleet has more than doubled over the past year and surpassed 20,000 vehicles during the 2025 festive season. It has also set a target of achieving 100% electric mobility in its logistics operations by 2030.
Industry estimates cited by the company suggest that electric two-wheelers can reduce fuel and energy costs by up to 70%-80%. Additionally, Lower maintenance requirements can also contribute to a 15%-20% increase in delivery partner income.
Through EV Assist, delivery partners can browse electric two-wheeler rental options based on their location and weekly budget. Available plans range from below Rs. 1,000 (US $10.48) to above Rs. 2,000 (US $20.97) per week. Users can register interest using their name and mobile number and connect directly with verified mobility providers for onboarding and vehicle allocation.
“When millions of delivery partners have a simpler, more affordable route to electric vehicles, the impact is felt well beyond our own operations,” said Rajneesh Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Flipkart Group.
According to Flipkart, the platform has already received strong interest from delivery executives, known as Wishmasters, across the country. Delhi-NCR, Patna, and Bengaluru have emerged as leading markets for the service.
