Value retailer V2 Retail announced on Monday that it has opened six new locations in rising Indian cities in advance of the holiday season, bringing its total number of stores to 250 across the country.
The milestone highlights the company’s focus on expanding its footprint in Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns, according to Chairman and Managing Director Ram Chandra Agarwal, who started his retail career with an outlet in the Lalbazar neighbourhood of central Kolkata.
One of the six new stores, located in Kanchrapara in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district, opened a few days before Durga Puja festivities. The others can be found at Bangla Sahib (Bihar), Godda (Jharkhand), Zirakpur (Punjab), Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh) and Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh).
“Reaching 250 stores is a proud moment for us and launching six stores in a single day makes it even more special,” an official with the company stated.
For the first quarter of FY ’26 (April–June), V2 Retail recorded consolidated revenue of Rs. 632 crore (US $ 71.21 million), which was 52% more than the previous year.
