
Swedish fashion brand Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) has been named as Top Global Employer in Business of Fashion’s first ever annual report on The Best Companies to work for in Fashion in 2017.
Karl-Johan Persson, CEO, H&M Group stated, “Working at H&M was not just a job but a long-term fashion career for those in the fashion industry. Our colleagues are our greatest strengths that contributed to our success and growth.”
The report by Business of Fashion provides an objective assessment of the top global fashion employers based on 29 different data points and detailed qualitative feedback gathered. Employee sentiments were measured across three main indices: Rewards and Benefits; Leadership and Development; and Working Culture and Environment. Based on overall performance, 16 companies were identified as the top performers and champions in one or more of these key areas.

Helena Thybell, HR Global Head, H&M averred, “The brand’s commitment and values come together to form a culture where everyone can work together while relying on each individual’s unique knowledge, skills and experience.”
It may be mentioned here that over 2,600 industry professionals were surveyed, which represented more than 190 leading fashion companies from around the world.
