An important step towards fostering closer commercial and investment relations between Europe and Bangladesh was taken with the official opening of the Europe Bangladesh Federation of Commerce and Industry (EBFCI) in Dhaka.
The mission of the non-governmental, non-profit EBFCI is to advance and foster commercial, trade, and investment ties between Bangladesh, the United Kingdom, and European nations.
Several industries, including the crucial ready-made garments industry, are among the areas of focus that have been emphasised.
By promoting policy advocacy, commercial development, and cooperative opportunities, the federation seeks to serve as an essential link between European investors and the Bangladeshi market.
EBFCI intends to assist companies on both sides by providing strategic networking, market access insights, and partnership development with the goal of strengthening bilateral economic cooperation.
The group will also try to help European businesses understand the local business climate and increase awareness of Bangladesh’s expanding investment prospects.
Business executives, entrepreneurs, and representatives from the government and diplomatic communities attended the official opening of EBFCI in Dhaka. They were upbeat about the federation’s potential to improve commercial links between Bangladesh and Europe.
