Across-the-board, major e-commerce names in fashion, like ASOS, Revolve and Head-a-porter have launched seamlessly integrated ‘m-shops’ and created well-designed apps that make shopping from your phone a conveniently addicting process. Asia-based ZAFUL, which specializes in young women’s markdown fashions, reports that its mobile sales jumped 40 per cent this year which obscures the progression of traditional PC sales by about 50 per cent and mobile sales continue to escalate at a rate of around 7 per cent a month.
“In the past three quarters, especially the first quarter of 2017, the amount of mobile purchases for our company rose significantly,” said Phoon Lee, E-commerce Specialist, ZAFUL, also mentioning that over 70 per cent of their shoppers are aged between 16-25, adding “This is somewhat predictable with the popularity of Smartphones and other mobile devices with younger people.”
