Duer, a Vancouver-based performance apparel brand has expanded its reach in Europe after announcing a distribution agreement with Hectic Europe. Duer’s European expansion coincides with the brand’s celebration of its 10th anniversary as well as growth plans for expanding its retail footprint in North America.
The agreement with Hectic Europe ensures Duer’s entry into 12 target countries including the UK, Germany, France and the Nordics. During the rollout, Duer has also launched localized ecommerce stores (shopduer.eu and shopduer.co.uk) that will facilitate access to its performance apparel.
Launched in 2013 by Gary Lenett, Duer has grown to include over 800 retail partners around the globe with a majority remaining direct-to-consumer both online and in physical storefronts. Duer reports it is currently a profitable brand despite headwinds faced by broader economic conditions and is ready to embark on a new phase of retail expansion.
In North America, Duer is opening new branded stores in Victoria, Portland and San Francisco and is taking its presence further in the Pacific Northwest. The company indicated that it was focused on a growth strategy to access its customer base in regions where there is a significant demand for its product.
The expansion demonstrates Duer’s strategy that is focused on both entering international markets and establishing deeper domestic retail presence.
