It was 2 years back – 20 December 2017 to be precise – the cult Paris store Colette had closed down much to the dismay of French fashionistas.
And now, the renowned fashion retailer will get its own documentary.
Directed by Hugues Lawson-Body under the banner of La Pac Films, HLB and Highsnobiety, the documentary is titled ‘Colette Mon Amour’.
The documentary, which releases in 2020, will present the last 6 months at Colette before its closure, and will feature its founder Colette Roussaux and her daughter Sarah Andelman.
Sarah was the founder and creative director of Colette, which was once hailed by Vogue critic Suzy Menkes as the ‘coolest shop in town’.
One of the major highlights of the documentary will be appearances from fashion industry stalwarts Pharell Williams and Kanye West, among others.
