Couture to Your Door (CTYD) is revolutionising the fashion industry with its sustainable and personalised approach. Founder Maria Loria aims to bridge the gap between high-end fashion and individual preferences while prioritising environmental consciousness.
CTYD counters mass production and the disappointment of online shopping. Loria noticed the dominance of fast fashion and luxury conglomerates, resulting in generic mid-market garments and excessive polyester use. She questioned why upcycling, made-to-measure, and made-to-order services were not utilised by these brands.
The label aims to provide a semi-pret-a-porter model, focusing on personalized and perfectly fitting clothes. Loria believes this will foster a stronger connection between customers and their clothing, moving away from commodity fashion.
In addition to CTYD, Loria founded the rental service WearMyWardrobeOut. Both platforms overlap, with unique garments sought after by customers. Loria incorporates fabric donations from rental customers into upcycled designs available for rent. CTYD’s mission revolves around circular and zero-waste fashion. Whether customers choose to rent refashion existing garments, or order made-to-measure upcycled pieces, the label merges online circular services with upcycled high fashion.
