Chupps, a D2C footwear brand, is accelerating its retail expansion, targeting 40-50 stores over the next two years while expanding its product portfolio across sandals, home footwear, and functional comfort categories.
The company has expanded beyond its initial men’s range and now offers footwear for women and children. It is also strengthening its presence in the sandals category, particularly backstrap sandals, with plans to introduce nearly 50 SKUs.
In addition, Chupps is launching home footwear, products suited for colder climates, and comfort-focused innovations such as Quick Dry Technology and Massage Footbeds.
According to the company, the Quick Dry Technology provides 90% water resistance and allows footwear to dry within minutes, while Massage Footbeds are designed to improve airflow and comfort.
On the retail front, Chupps plans to open around 15 stores this year and is actively finalising locations.
The brand’s products are priced between Rs 600 and Rs 2,500, with an average selling price of around Rs 1,100.
Currently, the company operates through more than 30 distributors and has a presence in over 3,000 footwear stores nationwide.
It is also available across more than 500 modern retail and large-format retail stores and operates one exclusive store at R City Mall, Mumbai. Online, the brand retails through marketplaces as well as its own website.
The brand is also positioning itself around sustainability, offering fully biodegradable footwear designed to decompose within two to four years under landfill conditions.
Looking ahead, the company aims to become a leading player in India’s open footwear segment and is targeting revenue of Rs 400-500 crore over the next three years.
