Public Eye, which is mainly known for probing into Swiss firms, had recently catalogued visual and written reports into 17 factories that supply Shein products in the Guangzhou region of China.
What is important to note here that all 17 factories were fulfilling only Shein orders during the timing of the probe!
Consequently, Shein has, reportedly, started its own investigation – pointing to Shein’s strict supplier code of conduct, which includes stringent health and safety policies and compliance with local laws.
The fashion e-tailer also said that it takes all supply chain issues seriously and this is no exception.
Founded in 2008, Shein is known for its affordably priced apparels and generated US $ 10 billion in 2020. It has its headquarters at Nanjing (China).
