
Canada-based RYU Apparel Inc., a tailored technical urban athletic apparel brand that is engaged in the development, marketing and distribution of apparels, has announced the opening of its first store on West Coast location in the United States.
The yet to be opened store of the fashion retailer will be located on the iconic Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice Beach, positioned within the urban region of the happening western Los Angeles.
The destination is known for its eccentricities of funky shops, upscale commercial and residential pockets and the famous boardwalk. It is a global tourist destination that receives millions of visitors a year. This will, no doubt, prove to be an advantage for RYU Apparel.
The brand is excited about its foray into California, informed RYU Apparel CEO Marcello Leone. “Our physical presence in the area will help us to accelerate our growth. We derive a lot of e-commerce business from California and now having a physical presence there will help to accelerate our growth,” added Leone.
Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Vancouver, the company sells its products through wholesale and retail channels, as well as online at ryu.com.
The company offers tops, bottoms, outwear and a range of accessories for both men and women. It noted a 57 per cent increase in its revenue to US $ 1,367,043 in FY 2016 compared to US $ 869,917 during the year ended December 31, 2015. The apparel retailer is yet to announce financial results for FY 2017.
