In these tough times, when there are talks of only store closures, staff furloughing and bankruptcies, it is always heartening to hear about new launches.
That’s what we got to hear when the British clothing brand Jack Wills announced its debut in kidswear line.
And to make this happen, it has entered into licensing deal with Brand Machine Group (BMG). Together they have agreed to release the kidswear collections in December 2020 for the SS’21 season.
The deal distinctly mentions that BMG will design, make and market apparels and accessories for girls and boys aged 0 to 16.
Venturing into kidswear segment is being seen as a part of British brand’s plan to further expand its lifestyle category.
The exquisite collection for the kids will comprise T-shirts, sweats, fashion outerwear and accessories. The life style brand, reportedly, also confirmed that there will collections for babies and toddlers as well in future.
This is one of the positive developments at Jack Wills ever since it was acquired by Frasers Group last year.
Expressing delight over the association with BMG, a spokesperson of Jack Wills said that the license deal would go a long way in enhancing the latter’s brand positioning not only in the UK, but also in several other countries across the globe.
Notably, BMG has been creating kidswear for many reputable brands like Original Penguin and Lyle & Scott, among others.
Jack Wills, known for its traditional British formalwear as well as modern casualwear, was bought by Frasers Group in August 2019 for £12.8 million.
