Fat Face, the British clothing retailer, has witnessed its revenues rise above the pre-pandemic levels.
While the total sales at the retailer surged by 22 percent in the 5 weeks to 1 January 2022, the jump was 3 percent when compared to the same period in 2019.
The apparel retailer has attributed the surge to stronger-than-expected digital sales during the festive season. Notably, e-commerce sales rose by 21 per cent from 2020, while the rise was a whopping 62 per cent from the same period two years back.
International sales rose year-on-year(Y-o-Y) by 24 per cent and 48 per cent compared with the same period two years ago. Fat Face attributed the same to its continual focus on customer acquisition in the US.
The retailer saw its digital sales rise Y-o-Y by 32 per cent to £48 million, and by 61 per cent compared with 2019 numbers.
As far as store sales were concerned, the rise was 81 per cent Y-o-Y to £77 million, but slumped by 8 per cent compared with 2019.
Importantly, overall sales at Fat Face touched £125 million in the 26 weeks to 27 November 2021, at a Y-o-Y increase of 58 per cent.
Founded in 1988, Hampshire-based Fat Face is known for its apparels, footwear and accessories.
