British fashion brand Burberry has come forward to help the communities that are still struggling to combat the deadly pandemic.
The fashion label has, reportedly, made an undisclosed donation to UNICEF’s COVID-19 Vaccines Appeal.
The objective is to help millions of people, belonging to vulnerable communities, have easy access to vaccines.
Burberry Foundation COVID-19 Community Fund will ensure it helps with not only transportation, but also storage and safe administration of vaccines to the communities who are badly in need of them.
Marco Gobetti, Chief Executive, Burberry, expressed pleasure and pride in helping UNICEF in its efforts to provide important resources for vulnerable communities across the globe.
UNICEF, which is globally the biggest buyer of vaccines, is on a mission to make 2 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines available to 190 countries by the end of 2021.
And Burberry Foundation COVID-19 Community Fund, which was set up last year, is all set to support UNICEF in accomplishing this noble mission.
Importantly, contributions from Burberry staff, its partners, customers and suppliers have been directed to support relief efforts worldwide.
