Gymshark, the British athleisure brand, saw its sales rise by 54 per cent to £402 million in 2021. Back in 2020, the brand’s sales had touched £260.7 million.
The firm posted a £45.4 million pre-tax profit for the year that ended in July 2021, while the same was £30.4 million in 2020.
Though there are reports of the brand making 120 people redundant by this July following a restructuring programme, the e-tailer is also set to create 100 new roles.
Substantiating on the same, Gymshark says “The business will seek to offer as many of these new roles to its current staff where it is appropriate to do so.”
It’s certainly good times for Gymshark, as it is also set to launch its much-awaited flagship store at 165 Regent Street, with a lease liability of around £21.9 million.
Gymshark is a British fitness apparel and accessories brand that was founded in 2012 by Ben Francis.
