
Streetwear apparel brand Bonkers Corner has unveiled plans to invest approximately US $ 11.62 million (Rs. 100 crore) to significantly boost its retail and manufacturing capabilities, according to a report. The company intends to allocate US $ 6.97 million (Rs. 60 crore) towards establishing a sustainable production facility in Murbad, Maharashtra, while simultaneously expanding its brick-and-mortar presence across India and the Middle East.
Shubham Gupta, the founder of Bonkers Corner, said that the new manufacturing unit will double the brand’s production capacity. The new manufacturing unit will be capable of producing a capacity of four lakh pieces per month while the current capacity is at two lakh pieces per month. The founder said that 20 per cent to 30 per cent of funds would be allocated for the new manufacturing unit and it will be internally accrued and the remaining amount would be acquired through a bank loan.
Bonkers Corner, founded in 2020, currently operates through its direct-to-consumer e-commerce platform and exclusive brand outlets in cities such as Pune, Guwahati, Lucknow, and Mumbai. The brand’s latest spring collection features graphic T-shirts, hoodies, and other casual wear, including designs featuring the cartoon character Spongebob.
The company plans to broaden its customer reach by introducing new product categories including products from the womenswear category featuring dresses, T-shirts, and denim.
