Menswear fashion brand, Blackberrys is accelerating its expansion with plans to open 70 new store openings this year, focusing on Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
The company will invest Rs 100 crore over the next three years to upgrade design, technology, and supply chain capabilities.
It is actively targeting growth in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, which currently contribute to nearly 40% of its total business.
Nitin Mohan, Co-Founder and Director of Blackberrys, said in an interview that, “We want to continue our retail expansion momentum and aim to open 70 stores this year. We opened around 55 last year.”
Mohan added that “the brand witnessed single-digit year-on-year growth in FY26. Growth has not been a straight line over the past two to three years, and there have been periods of high growth followed by phases of tepid demand in the apparel industry. However, India’s consumption story remains intact. We are aiming for double-digit growth in FY27.”
Currently, the brand has 400 exclusive retail stores across 150 cities and is also sold through 1,200 multi-brand outlets.
The online channel currently contributes about 10% of the brand’s overall sales.
