Indian menswear label The Bear House has taken its first step into international retail with the opening of a flagship store at Al Ghurair Centre in Dubai, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s global expansion plans, according to media reports.
The 1,100 sq.ft. outlet represents the Bengaluru-based company’s first overseas location as it begins charting a wider international footprint. Founded in 2017 by Tanvi and Harsh Somaiya, The Bear House has grown steadily in India through its European-inspired aesthetic and omnichannel retail network. The brand now intends to extend its presence across Abu Dhabi and Europe as part of its next phase of growth.
Calling the move a major moment for the business, co-founders Harsh and Tanvi Somaiya said the Dubai launch marked the beginning of their global journey and aligned with their long-term vision of taking the label to international markets.
The new store features an asymmetrical façade, customised visual elements and bear-themed accents, reflecting the brand’s signature design language. The expansion has been executed in partnership with Omnis Group, a UAE-based retail and brand management company known for introducing contemporary labels to the region.
Akarsh Gautam, CEO of Omnis Group, said they were pleased to introduce The Bear House to the UAE, describing it as a brand that resonates with modern consumers through its focus on quality, contemporary design and authenticity.
In India, The Bear House operates stores in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune and Chandigarh, alongside a strong online presence on platforms including Myntra, Ajio, Amazon, Flipkart and Tata CliQ.
With its Dubai debut, The Bear House aims to scale its presence in key global markets while continuing to expand its omnichannel operations.
