Bazaar Style Retail Limited has reported a record financial performance for FY ’26, achieving its highest-ever standalone revenue from operations and exceeding internal guidance, underscoring sustained demand in the Eastern India market.
The Kolkata-headquartered value fashion retailer posted standalone revenue of Rs. 1,842.1 crore (US $198 million) for FY ’26, marking a 37% year-on-year increase from Rs. 1,343.5 crore (US $145 million) in FY ’25. The company described this as its strongest revenue performance to date.
Performance remained robust in the fourth quarter, with revenue from operations rising 35% year-on-year to Rs. 466.2 crore (US $50.32 million). The company also reported improved operational efficiency, with sales per square foot increasing to Rs. 698 (US $7.54) per month during the quarter, compared to Rs. 679 (US $7.33) in the corresponding period last year.
Same-store sales growth (SSSG), a key indicator of underlying demand, stood at 3% for the full year and accelerated to 8% in the fourth quarter, reflecting steady performance from existing outlets and effective customer retention strategies.
The retailer also continued to expand its physical footprint during the year. As of 31st March 2026, the company operated 263 stores, up from 214 a year earlier, representing a 23% increase. The company stated that it had opened 11 new stores during the fourth quarter without closing any existing locations, indicating a net addition to its network.
Operational metrics remained stable alongside expansion. Sales per square foot for FY ’26 stood at Rs. 731 (US $7.89) per month, compared to Rs. 721 (US $7.78) in FY ’25. Meanwhile, the company’s total retail area increased by 28% year-on-year to 24.53 lakh square feet, supporting its growth strategy while maintaining productivity levels.
