Bata India’s Vice President – India Distribution and SEA Wholesale Development, Ashish Arora, has resigned from the footwear manufacturer, with his departure effective at the close of working hours on October 16.
In a regulatory filing dated October 9, the footwear retailer said Arora had resigned to pursue career opportunities outside the organisation.
The departure follows a series of senior leadership changes at Bata India. Badri Beriwal, Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer, resigned in September, with his cessation effective September 14, Sanjay S. Rao took over as Managing Director and CEO on October 1, succeeding Gunjan Shah, whose five-year tenure ended on September 30.
The company also elevated Kandarp Asher to Head of Demand Planning, Harmeet Kaur to Head of Commercial Planning, and Jasleen Kaur to Head of Marketing, with all three appointments effective October 1.
Meanwhile, Bata India reported consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 978.95 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 941.84 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year, an increase of around 3.9%. Consolidated net profit rose to Rs 63.98 crore from Rs 52 crore, registering growth of approximately 23% year on year.
The company also declared an interim dividend of Rs 25 per share for FY27, involving a total payout of Rs 321.3 crore.
