Export-oriented apparel makers, who also have their own brands that are operating in Bangladesh, are witnessing good business in the run up to Eid-ul-Fitr, as customers make a beeline for shopping, in sharp contrast to Eids of earlier two years, which were overshadowed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Media reports maintained this citing people in know of things and some concerned companies.
Evince Group Director Shah Rayeed Chowdhury — Noir is Evince Group’s local brand— reportedly claimed the response from the customers was “very good” even as he, reportedly, termed the Eid sales “phenomenal” even as Managing Director of Snowtex — Snowtex owns brand Saara — on his part, reportedly, added, “Customers’ response is very good. There is a huge rush in all our eight stores as compared to the last two years.”
Reports also added many garment exporting companies like Snowtex, Dekko Group, Energypac, Team Group, Beximco, Giant, Epyllion, Babylon, Amber, Pride Group, etc., have already made strong inroads in the domestic market.
