Fashion designing students in Bangladesh garnered tonnes of appreciation for the designs they showcased on the FASHIONIM RUNWAY. The designs were chosen from the 2nd edition of Bangladesh Fashion Students’ Denim Design Contest, that concluded in Dhaka on March 3. The students had to create designs for denim, centred on the theme ‘Hi-Fashion Denim’.

An initiative intended to bolster the inherent talents of aspiring young designers, this event saw students from different fashion universities, including INIFD, NIFT,SMUCT, BUFT etc. taking part. The best 15 garments were put up for voting on the Denimsandjeans show.
The entire design competition was coordinated by Anna Troupe, a Dhaka-based sustainable design lecturer and social entrepreneur.
FASHIONRIM, a denim fashion show organised by Denimsandjeans, witnessed eclectic designs of Vicunha Textil and Envoy Textil.
This was the first time that young designers of Bangladesh were able to showcase their work at such a big denim fashion show in the presence of such renowned designers and international audience that included Diesel team from Italy and India.
