Balmain’s new management team is taking form. After the selection of Matteo Sgarbossa as CEO in May, succeeding Jean-Jacques Guével, the luxury brand owned by the Qatari fund Mayhoola has now announced Bruna Scognamiglio as its new Chief Marketing Officer.
The Parisian fashion house in a statement announced, “As CMO of Balmain, Bruna Scognamiglio will supervise all aspects of the brand’s global marketing strategies, image direction, and communications to advance Balmain’s future goals.”
With more than twenty years of experience in both traditional and digital marketing within the fashion and luxury sectors, the Italian manager will assume her role on September 9 and will report directly to Matteo Sgarbossa. She succeeds after Txampi Diz, who departed in March to join Casablanca.
Bruna Scognamiglio started her career at Procter & Gamble, where she spent almost fifteen years managing beauty communications for different luxury brands and regions. In 2017, she became VP of global PR & influencer marketing for Gucci at Coty. Following a stint at Tod’s, she spent five years at Ferragamo, ending in her role as Global Brand and Marketing Director.
